There's a big food event this weekend, but it's not in Arlington Heights. Arlington's Best Food and Drinks in May is in Virginia at Ballson Common Mall in the Ballston Neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia. According to their official the official website at TasteofArlington.com , "more than 50 of Arlington’s favorite restaurants and most exciting chefs will serve up their specialties at this year’s festival and this is your chance to sample them all."

The Rosebud Old World Italian restaurant at 1370 Bank Drive, Schaumburg has been sold to Andy-John Kalkounos. A new brand identity will be in place by April 1, 2014. The business will remain open during the transition, and is expected to continue to serve Italian cuisine. The restaurant will be closed for lunch during the transition. Kalkounos co-owns the Chicago Prime Steakhouse on Algonquin Road in Schaumburg with his father, just north of the Rosebud location.
