Taste of Arlington 2014: Mane Event (Friday August 8), Taste of Arlington (Saturday August 9), Arlington Million (Saturday August 16)
Three annual events in two weekends are approaching fast this late summer.
The Mane Event is a food and music event scheduled for Friday August 8, 2014.
The Taste of Arlington in Arlington Heights is a food and music event scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2014.
These bookend events kick off the Arlington Million the following weekend on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Arlington International Racecourse.
This block-party styled weekend showcases live music from favorite local bands, wonderful food from local restaurants, and kids' entertainment.
Mane Event ( yes, it is spelled M-A-N-E in reference to a horse's mane) and the Taste of Arlington weekend kick's off Million Week in celebration of the upcoming Arlington Million, the premier race event held at Arlington International Racecourse on Saturday, August 16. Activities will be held at the Racetrack during the week leading up to the Arlington Million.

5 PM : Metropolis Performing Arts
6 PM : Pamela Rose and Windy City Country

Taste of Arlington Heights, SATURDAY, August 9 (Organized by the Chamber of Commerce)
The Taste of Arlington is SATURDAY from Noon - 11 PM at Vail & Campbell
Noon - 6 PM : Local entertainment
6 PM : Exit 147
8:30 PM : Centerfold
Arlington Million, SATURDAY, August 16
The Arlington Million is at Arlington International Racecourse
Gates open at 10:30 AM

Both the Mane Event and Taste of Arlington in Arlington Heights are located at Vail Avanue and Campbell Street in downtown. The events combined are one of the biggest weekend celebrations of the summer.
